This Independence Day, we’re celebrating a Marine who knows the true meaning of freedom—because he fought for it, and because he found it again through the LOV of a service dog.

After serving three combat tours, Jason came home and faced a different kind of battle. Then a service dog named Axel saved his life. For more than seven years, Jason has made it his mission to ensure other veterans can find the same healing.
